A committee member will “meet and greet” and show the hirer around the facilities, including e.g. instructions for use of the equipment.

  • This area is used for providing teas/coffees/light snacks etc
  • It can also be used for a licensed bar
  • 2 wall-mounted boilers providing constant hot water

  • 2 domestic kettles

Toilets

  • This area is accessed from the main concourse via lobby where coats etc can be hung.
  • Female toilets (4) plus baby changing shelf
  • Male toilet (1) plus urinals
  • Disabled person toilet (1)
  • All toilet areas serviced by electric hand dryers

Optional Extras

  • Free WiFi
  • A public address system with speakers selectable for each room. Two lapel microphones and one hand held microphone are available
  • Hearing loop system for the hard of hearing
  • Digital projector with connecting cables to your laptop/notepad

Green / Store Room

  • Largely used to store chairs/tables when not in use
  • 1 fridge/1 fridge/freezer available for large events
  • 4 storage cupboards for management use
  • Large electric floor cleaner (Hoover)

Ventilation / Miscellaneous

  • Velux windows to Fulda and Sarasota rooms, all electrically operated and fitted with electric blinds
  • Dokkum room (facing Holy Cross Church) has opening windows
  • All clerestory windows between concourse and individual rooms fitted with remotely operated “black-out” blinds
  • Sarasota room contains large drop-down screen for projection (other rooms projection on to acoustic walls perfectly satisfactory).

Ventilation / Miscellaneous

  • All rooms have emergency exits on to external escape route
  • All rooms heated by water radiators linked to gas boilers in lobby area.
  • Heating, as required, is programmed in advance of your event
  • Fire extinguishers in every room + fire blanket in kitchen
  • 2 “Evacuator” alarms manually operated in case of fire
  • Defibrillator fitted to outside front wall
  • Free (private) car park for up to 50 cars within 100m
  • 2 bays at front of the Centre for off-loading and/or parking for the disabled
  • Bicycle racks in one of these bays
